IF CUMBERSOME, UNSIGHTLY, UNHYGIENIC WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEMS ARE YOUR PROBLEM ...
WE HAVE THE PERFECT LARGE CAPACITY, LOW MAINTENANCE, AESTHETICALLY PLEASING, HYGIENIC, SPACE-SAVING SOLUTION FOR YOU ...
Lycage Metrocan is an underground waste collection system which provides optimum public access to recycling facilities and encourages responsible disposal of household waste, whilst improving the appearance of public areas, whereas traditional on-the-ground waste collection containers are often bulky and unsightly, smelling unpleasant in warmer weather, causing obstruction and creating unhealthy situations. With a footprint of only 167cm square, each underground container stores up to 5000 litres of waste, minimising the use of public space, reducing smell and improving hygiene.
With minimal visual impact at street level, the system features underground containers in a range of sizes up to 5 cubic metres which can be emptied quickly and efficiently. An experienced operator can empty a container in about 3 minutes. With a filling efficiency of 95% and low operational cost (1 worker per vehicle), underground containment is regarded as the most economical system in the urban waste collection industry.
All parts of the container are fully robot-welded and 100% protected in a hot-dip galvanisation process. The first containers of this type were manufactured more than twenty years ago and are still in daily operation. The concrete box is monolithic, prefabricated and 100% waterproof. The rims on the top of the box can be adjusted in height to suit the pavement level, and there are systems to compensate for street inclination of up to 12%. Safety systems are also provided which establish protection when the container is removed from its location. The underground chamber is protected by a floor-level, spring-loaded saloon-door system that automatically closes upon removal of the container.
Electronic access control options can be fitted to the receptacles to guard against inappropriate use and monitor individual activity. Electronic fill-level monitoring in association with control software is also available.
